Flashfood Adds Functionality for Independent Grocers

Flashfood is taking significant steps to assist independent grocers in maximizing profits, improving access to fresh food, and minimizing food waste. The company recently launched a tailored platform called Flashfood for Independents, specifically designed to cater to the unique needs of smaller grocery retailers.

This innovative platform integrates effortlessly into existing store operations without the need for complicated inventory data input. One of its key features is the fast onboarding process, allowing grocers to start using the Flashfood Partner app on their standard devices almost immediately. Additionally, the platform offers flexible shopper pick-up models, which are customizable according to each grocer’s layout, along with convenient signage kits to guide customers.

The automated reporting suite provides actionable insights tailored to individual grocers, enabling them to track performance and make data-driven decisions. Furthermore, a dedicated customer service team ensures that independent retailers have the support they need.

Nicholas Bertram, CEO of Flashfood, emphasized the vital role of over 27,000 independently owned grocery stores in North America, particularly during challenging economic times. He stated that many of these stores address food access issues in urban and rural settings. The platform aims to bring more customers through their doors while increasing their profitability.

Flashfood for Independents is already operational in select locations across North America, including Country Squire Foods in Chicago and Supermercado Mexico in Michigan, with further expansions planned. As Flashfood continues to collaborate with independent retailers, it is poised to offer customers affordable nutritional staples while significantly reducing food waste. This initiative represents a crucial development in supporting small businesses and fostering sustainable practices in the grocery sector.
