Rosauers Acquires Hank's Harvest Foods in Washington

Rosauers Supermarkets has announced its acquisition of Hank’s Harvest Foods in Twisp, Washington, bringing the number of stores in its chain to 24. The Konrad family established Hank’s Harvest Foods in 1975, crafting a community institution that has served the Methow Valley for nearly five decades. Known for its commitment to quality, customer service, and community support, Hank’s garnered recognition from the Washington Food Industry Association, which honored the store with a Community Service award in 2015.

The store demonstrated its community spirit during the 2014 Carlton Complex Fire, remaining open to provide essential supplies and support to local first responders. Owner Hank Konrad even extended financial assistance to those in need during the crisis.

Cliff Rigsbee, CEO of Rosauers, expressed enthusiasm for the evolution of Hank’s into the Rosauers family. His statement emphasized the company’s dedication to perpetuating the legacy of service established by the Konrads, whom he referred to as community heroes. This acquisition aligns with Rosauers’ vision of expanding its presence in the Pacific Northwest, which includes operations across Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Montana.

Incorporating Hank’s Harvest Foods enhances Rosauers’ strategy of community-oriented grocery retail, which focuses not just on sales but on creating meaningful connections with local residents. With approximately 2,100 employees, Rosauers aims to continue building upon cultural values of family-oriented service, quality products, and strong community ties.
