Hilco Sweets Appoints Emily Edmondson as EVP to Drive Growth

Hilco Sweets recently announced the appointment of Emily Edmondson as Executive Vice President (EVP), a strategic move likely to enhance the company’s position in the candy industry. In her new role, Edmondson will oversee key accounts, the national sales team, and regional sales efforts, bringing her extensive expertise to the forefront of Hilco’s operations.

Lou DiMarco, president of the Louisville, Kentucky-based company, praised Edmondson for her industry acumen and deep market knowledge. “Emily is an industry expert with an outstanding reputation, customer knowledge, and trade knowledge. She will play a crucial role in steering the company towards success and growth,” he stated.

With over 15 years in the sales landscape, Edmondson’s career began in the novelty confections sector at Galerie in Hebron, Kentucky. Her qualifications are underscored by the Woman of Influence award she received from the National Confectioners Association in 2022. Prior to joining Hilco, she was the value team lead at Crayola, where she managed diverse customer bases and broker relationships across various trade channels.

“I’m thrilled to join Hilco Sweets and bring my experience to its distinctive line of novelty candy,” Edmondson said. As Hilco Sweets caters to a market that includes popular licensed brands like Kool-Aid, Warheads, Girl Scouts of the USA, and Hostess, her leadership is expected to drive innovation and enhance market strategies.

As businesses navigate a competitive landscape, leaders like Edmondson can significantly impact organizational growth. Her appointment comes at a pivotal time for Hilco Sweets, positioning the company to capitalize on emerging market trends while continuing to appeal to a varied consumer base.
