DoorDash has recently introduced an exciting new benefit for its DashPass members by partnering with Max, the streaming service from Warner Bros. Discovery. For the first time, DashPass Annual Plan members in the United States can access popular programming from HBO, Warner Bros., A24, Adult Swim, ID, and the DC Universe at no extra charge. This initiative not only enhances the value of the DashPass membership—costing just $96 a year—but it also adds an estimated $240 worth of streaming content, making it a compelling offer for subscribers.
Additionally, members have the option to upgrade to a Max Ad-Free subscription at a discounted rate of $10.99 per month. Prabir Adarkar, DoorDash’s president and COO, highlighted that this benefit represents their commitment to continually increase value and savings for members. He expressed excitement about how streaming complements their delivery service.
The partnership aligns with trends in consumer preferences, combining the convenience of food delivery with at-home entertainment. Warner Bros. Discovery’s global CMO, Pato Spagnoletto, emphasized that this collaboration introduces DashPass members to a world of exclusive content while providing excellent value.
In tandem with this new streaming offer, DoorDash also expanded its collaboration with Chase. Eligible Chase card members can now enjoy recurring benefits on a wide range of orders, including grocery, convenience, and more. This move demonstrates DoorDash’s adaptability in the competitive landscape of food delivery and local commerce.
The company’s recent financial report reflects this growth trajectory, showcasing a 19% increase in total orders year-over-year and a 23% rise in revenue to $2.6 billion. With operations spanning over 30 countries, DoorDash continues to connect consumers with their preferred local businesses, ensuring they remain a leader in the evolving marketplace.
