Stanley cup maker’s president Terence Reilly rejoining Crocs to lead Heydude

Crocs will welcome back Terence Reilly, the company’s namesake brand’s former chief marketing officer, to become executive vice president and president of the Heydude footwear brand.

The company announced Reilly’s return on April 16, noting that he will step into the role on April 29, joining the Crocs executive team. He returns to Crocs from the Stanley Brand, which makes the viral Stanley cup mugs that have seen renewed popularity during his time there.

Crocs is No. 97 in the Top 1000. The database is Digital Commerce 360’s ranking of the largest North American online retailers. The company appears in the Apparel & Accessories category.

“We are thrilled to be welcoming back Terence to the Crocs, Inc. family,” said Andrew Rees, chief executive officer at Crocs, in a released statement. “Terence has had tremendous success in creating and executing brand-building playbooks at both Stanley and Crocs by leveraging iconic product, scaling awareness, driving brand relevance and ultimately building communities. Having previously worked alongside him, I am confident he is the right person to lead the Heydude Brand into its next phase of growth.”

Reilly will report directly to Rees, taking over a role that is being vacated by Rick Blackshaw.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors and our leadership team, we thank Rick for the passion and commitment he has shown during his time with the Company,” Rees said in the announcement. “Over the last two years, Rick was instrumental in building and professionalizing the Heydude team and scaling the brand domestically. We wish him well in his future endeavors.”

Reilly’s background

“I am looking forward to joining the Heydude Brand as President,” Reilly said. “I see significant opportunity to further drive awareness, desirability, and relevance to the Heydude Brand and will work together with the team to build a durable, profitable growth brand over time.”

His career includes 25 years of experience in global marketing and operations, according to Crocs. He is credited with revitalizing the Stanley Brand during his most recent tenure there. That followed time at Crocs from 2013 to 2020.

Reilly will assume his new duties ahead of the next scheduled earnings report from Broomfield, Colorado-based Crocs. The company expects to report results for its fiscal first quarter on May 7.

Crocs last reported earnings on Feb. 15 for its fiscal Q4 2023 and full year. For 2023, it brought in almost $4 billion in revenue, up 11.5% from the previous year.
