Malaysia Aviation Group boosts Martech with Anchora and GrowthOps partnership

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the parent company of Malaysia Airlines and Firefly, is elevating its marketing technology (Martech) capabilities through a strategic partnership with GrowthOps Asia and Anchora. This collaboration encompasses three significant projects aimed at enhancing MAG’s ability to deliver data-driven and personalized customer experiences.

By implementing the Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RT-CDP), MAG has effectively unified its customer data from various sources, including loyalty programs, CRM systems, and booking portals. This move allows for targeted campaigns based on comprehensive insights, enabling MAG to engage with customers across multiple channels more effectively. Sambhav Jain, Director of Martech at Anchora, emphasized the transformation, noting, “We enabled MAG to execute personalized campaigns seamlessly, which is already benefiting their marketing team.”

Another critical component of this partnership involved migrating to Adobe Campaign Managed Cloud (ACMC) v8. With a team effort from MAG, Anchora, GrowthOps, and Adobe, this complex migration was smoothly completed, maximizing MAG’s marketing capabilities. Furthermore, Firefly’s transition from Insider to ACMC was pivotal in ensuring ongoing marketing campaign continuity while harnessing advanced features for enhanced effectiveness.

The impact of these advancements has been significant. Clarence Lee, Group Chief Digital Officer of MAG, highlighted that the collaboration has heightened their digital capabilities, fostering a deeper understanding of customer needs and long-term business success. Simon Dale, Vice President, Asia at Adobe, remarked that today’s travelers expect tailored experiences, and this partnership positions MAG to deliver just that, showcasing a model for the industry on digital transformation.
