Kiosks offer travel tips for Regina, Saskatchewan tourists

Tourists visiting Regina, Saskatchewan, now have access to valuable travel tips and insights through the launch of two new visitor kiosks. This initiative, a collaborative effort between Tourism Regina, Tourism Saskatchewan, and the Regina Airport Authority, aims to enhance the tourist experience by providing essential information directly where it’s needed most—at the airport and city hall.

Located in the arrivals area of the airport and on the ground floor of city hall, these kiosks serve as a gateway for visitors to explore Regina’s offerings. They include interactive digital displays that showcase upcoming events, attractions, and local activities, effectively allowing tourists to personalize their travel itineraries. During peak hours, tourism ambassadors will be on hand to assist, adding a human touch to the modern, tech-savvy setup.

According to Jennifer Johnson from Tourism Regina, “We want people to know how much is going on in Regina.” The kiosks are designed to address common queries from visitors, such as recommendations for local activities and events. With summer hours running from Wednesday to Sunday, the airport kiosk operates from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., ensuring ample opportunity for tourists to gather information.

This strategic initiative not only aims to promote Regina as a welcoming destination but also supports the city’s burgeoning tourism sector. By providing ready access to travel tips and hidden gems, the kiosks are set to enhance the overall visitor experience, effectively showcasing the vibrant culture and community of Regina. As tourism continues to thrive, these kiosks exemplify how technology and personal service can work hand in hand to foster a seamless travel experience.
