Schnuck Markets Inc. has officially rebranded the former Eatwell Market in Columbia, Missouri, transforming it into a full-service Schnucks store. This change concludes a four-year era for the Eatwell Market, which was first established to cater to health-conscious shoppers.
The relocation at 111 South Providence Road showcases significant upgrades, including expanded product offerings and revamped decor. Customers visiting the newly branded Schnucks Providence will appreciate these enhancements and the continued commitment to quality service. The store will remain open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Schnucks Store Manager Ryan Sweet expressed enthusiasm about this transition. “We’re excited to offer area residents and students the unique combination of variety, value, convenience and service that Columbia shoppers have come to expect from Schnucks for more than 50 years,” he stated.
To celebrate the relaunch, a grand-opening event is scheduled for August 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees can enjoy free samples, giveaways, and special discounts. Importantly, patrons are encouraged to support the Tiger Pantry by donating nonperishable food items.
The rebranding of Schnucks Providence reflects the company’s strategic shift following its acquisition of the location in bankruptcy from Lucky’s Market in 2020. Since entering Columbia in 1970, Schnucks has become a staple in the community, operating multiple stores in the area. With 114 locations across Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin and nearly 12,000 employees, Schnucks ranks 65th among North America’s top food retailers, as per the 2024 PG 100 list.
