In an impressive display of growth, H-E-B has opened its second location in Frisco, Texas, just under two years after the inauguration of its first store in the area. This move strengthens the retailer’s foothold in the fast-expanding DFW Metroplex. The new store at 899 University Drive spans 130,000 square feet and incorporates eco-friendly features like CO2 refrigeration units and LED lighting, aligning with modern sustainability standards.

Shoppers can expect a diverse range of food options to suit today’s busy lifestyles. The store includes an onsite True Texas BBQ restaurant, a deli with a charcuterie island, handmade sushi, and an Asian grill. Additionally, there’s an expansive prepared food section under the H-E-B Meal Simple brand. The fresh perimeter boasts a bakery with in-house goods, a well-stocked meat market featuring prime and organic selections, and a produce department that emphasizes local and organic products.

Beyond groceries, the store offers added conveniences such as a full-service pharmacy with a drive-thru, a nearby fuel station, and outdoor essentials in the Texas Backyard area. Curbside pickup and delivery services are also available, reflecting the retailer’s commitment to customer convenience.

In a nod to community engagement, H-E-B inaugurated its new store with significant donations to local organizations, including $10,000 each to the Little Elm Animal Shelter and the Little Elm Educational Fund. This latest Frisco addition is part of a strategic expansion with more stores planned in nearby towns like Melissa, Prosper, and Rockwall. With over 435 stores and $43 billion in annual sales, H-E-B continues to be a leading player in the grocery market, ranking No. 15 on Progressive Grocer’s 2024 list of top food and consumables retailers in North America.
