E-commerce Berlin Expo 2025: Highlights and the Call for Speakers Contest

The E-commerce Berlin Expo 2025 is just around the corner, promising to be one of the key events in the e-commerce industry. With over 290 exhibitors and thousands of visitors expected, the expo will be packed with opportunities to discover the latest innovations, trends, and strategies shaping the future of digital commerce. Among the noteworthy preparations leading up to the event is the Call for Speakers contest, a crucial initiative that sets the conversational tone of the expo.

Shaping the Conversation: The Call for Speakers Contest

The Call for Speakers contest plays a pivotal role in shaping the topics discussed at the expo. This contest is not merely a formality; it invites professionals from across the e-commerce spectrum to propose vital subjects for exploration on stage. From operators of thriving online shops to service providers and industry experts addressing key market challenges, the community gets a chance to voice its priorities.

This year, the contest employed a blend of public voting and evaluations by a professional jury, known as the Advisory Board. This approach ensures that the most pressing issues—those that deserve attention in our dynamic industry—are spotlighted. After the public voting period concluded, the finalists in each category were selected based on the votes received, leading us to a record-breaking edition.

Record-breaking Edition

The current year witnessed remarkable participation, with an astounding 646 submissions from enthusiastic individuals keen to share their insights. Voters from within the community cast an impressive 24,017 votes during the public voting phase. This spike in engagement highlights not only the community’s eagerness but also the importance and relevance of the topics submitted. Entrepreneurship in e-commerce is thriving, and the wide-ranging ideas submitted emphasize the commitment to addressing the industry’s challenges and capitalizing on emerging opportunities.
