Lowes Foods Adds Another Supermarket in North Carolina

Lowes Foods is making significant strides in its growth strategy with the upcoming opening of a new supermarket in Concord, North Carolina, on August 29. Located at 2415 Herrons Nest Place NW, this store represents a new chapter for the brand, featuring several innovative and engaging areas aimed at enhancing the shopping experience.

One of the standout attractions will be The Beer Den, which showcases a variety of local craft beers. Customers can enjoy a drink while they shop or take home a growler. Additionally, promotions such as half-price pints on Thursdays and Friday Night Flights will draw in beer enthusiasts.

Catering to diverse customer preferences, the new store will also include Boxcar Coffee for specialty beverages, The Cakery for fresh cakes, and SausageWorks, which offers locally made sausages. The Community Table, crafted from reclaimed barn wood, will serve as a social hub for events like food pairings and private celebrations.

Though Lowes Foods is expanding, it is also closing two stores in Wilmington and Raleigh, aligning with its strategy to optimize its store portfolio. This approach mirrors the company’s recent successes, such as the opening of a new store in Aiken, South Carolina, and ongoing renovations across existing locations.

Lowes Foods, a subsidiary of Alex Lee Inc., continues to solidify its presence in the Carolinas, operating over 80 full-service supermarkets and employing around 9,000 staff members. The company’s commitment to quality and local sourcing keeps it competitive, recently earning a spot on Progressive Grocer’s 2024 list of top food retailers in North America.
