SpartanNash Honors Independent Grocer Customers

At the 2024 Food Solutions Expo held from July 23-25 at the DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, SpartanNash celebrated the accomplishments of independent grocers by presenting the 2023-24 Vision Awards. Eight grocers were recognized for their exceptional customer service and community impact. “We’re proud that our customers contribute to our mission to deliver the ingredients for a better life,” stated Amy McClellan, EVP and Chief Customer Officer at SpartanNash.

The awards showcased the dedication of independent grocers who serve as vital food sources and community hubs. Furthermore, Nilssens Foods made headlines for its significant community contributions, including a $42,000 donation through an annual golf tournament.

In addition to the Vision Awards, Performance Awards were given for excellence in private label products to Randy’s Neighborhood Market, Town & Country Supermarkets, and Cahoy’s General Store, each recognized for their commitment to value and quality. With over 1,500 attendees at the Expo, SpartanNash reiterated its position as a leading wholesale supplier to over 2,100 retail locations nationwide, supporting independent businesses with services that include marketing, merchandising, and technology assistance.
